I am a self-proclaimed introvert. I love love love people, but in moderation. If you meet me at a large party, I am likely the quiet one observing everything, laughing at your jokes, while not telling too many of my own. I love being around people, but I also love my personal retreat. Now, not all introverts are quiet, and not all who are quiet are introverts. But I am a quiet introvert 🙂 Let me tell you 3 reasons why a card is an introvert’s best friend.
1. An introvert can read the card in their own time
Introverts treasure their own quiet time. Cards don’t hang in space, like spoken words do. Now, introverts treasure in-person conversations too, but the introvert may get overwhelmed at a large gathering. So an introvert can read your card in their own time and really appreciate your words.
2. An introvert values deep relationships
A card is the perfect place to go deep, and express your thankfulness/congratulatory wishes/sympathy/encouragement, etc. Skip the small talk, and get right to it. There’s something about writing that helps us to express ourselves, and I promise you, the introvert in your life will notice it.
3. A card can be kept indefinitely
A card is like an old friend, an introvert’s best friend. It can be kept in a drawer for years, so when it is found again, it feels like reconnecting with an old friend. Introverts treasure familiarity, so you could say that giving a card is a long term investment.
