“It came to me in a dream”. But, actually! These designs came to me in a dream, and I just HAD to get them down on paper before I forgot them. I designed four new geometric thank you cards this past weekend, and I will be gradually adding them to my shop. For once, I took pictures of the process, too. Keep reading to see the progression from idea to card.
The design process, from paper, to computer, to paper
Once I got pencil to paper, I couldn’t just stop there. I kept going- I drew, painted, digitized, edited, printed, scored, folded, photographed, and listed..
I came up with two different colour schemes – one bright; one tricolour. Tricolour refers to red, blue and gold; my school’s colours. I am selling my cards at a craft show on campus next month, and wanted to have some school spirited cards to showcase there. Maybe the campus gift stores will even be interested in stocking them! Who knows? 🙂
For now, I’m releasing the bright coloured geometric thank you cards one by one into my Etsy shop. I still need to photograph and edit some of them. Today, you can find the hexagon thank you card in my shop.
These cards are perfect all-purpose thank you cards. Totally gender neutral, too! Don’t tell me you don’t already have a stash of thank you cards ready for any occasion.. Well, if you don’t, here’s the perfect opportunity to start that stash! Have a card ready to thank a teacher, a mentor, a friend, a hostess, an event volunteer, … The possibilities are endless!
There is never not a reason to give thanks!
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
– 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Thank you thank you thank you, and with lots of love,
